»» Aim
	To promote and implement the Surat Spiritual Declaration* by sustaining the human spirit on the basis of acceptance of, and respect for, all religions, spirituality, economic well-being and on the practice of Non-Violence.

»» Objectives

	i	Promote the Aim in India


	ii	Work towards creating and developing a common code of conduct for religions from voluntary adoption.


	iii	Encourage the finding of solutions for some of the important problems of the society through spiritual methods.


	iv	Provide for inter-faith dialogue and a common platform for multiple religions to work together towards religious harmony and socio-economic development.


	v	Promote universal values of all religions.


	vi	Encourage and popularize multi religious prayers and festivals.


	vii	Bring about scientific temper and vision to combine with spirituality.


	viii	Bring about economic development and awareness of social justice and ecological concerns.


	ix	Organize training programmes, provide and upgrade skills, towards vocational competency and set up marketing mechanisms.


	x	Arrange financial grants, assistance, loans and any other activity to achieve the above objective.


	xi	To spend, to meet expenses in the manner, the Society deems fit and proper to meet its objectives.


	xii	Plan and formulate development projects independently or in association with other organizations/groups/individuals for implementation by itself or through organizations engaged in developmental programmes.


	xiii	Monitor development projects, conduct appraisals and evaluations, maintain information systems and databases.


	xiv	Edit, translate and publish, books, encyclopedias, periodicals, rare manuscripts, monographs, generate audio visual materials and other technological forms of dissemination.


	xv	Organize Seminars, Conferences, Exhibitions, Workshops, etc. to further the cause


	xvi	Award Fellowship or Prizes, etc. to promote the cause.


	xvii	Spread, implement and practice of universal spiritual values in educational institutions.


	xviii	Create educational material for the above as well as for teaching the understanding of religions in all educational institutions.


	xix	Take up such other activities as may be necessary from time to time for furthering and promoting the aims and objectives of the organization.

»» Ammendments/Additions

	i	Unity among the religions means unity of the followers of religions in making a joint effort in the local and national issues of the country.


	ii	If any article or code of Surat Spiritual Declaration (SSD) or the aims & objectives of the FUREC clashes with the basic tenet or faith of any religion or followers of religion then that religion or follower of the religion are free to joint it.
